Hey Beautiful Souls!

I have been experiencing a huge amplification of my Empath nature and abilities in recent months (or is it that I have just become more aware of it?) and in my quest to better understand and help myself cope better I stumbled over a book which has been life-changing: "The Empath's Survival Guide" by Judith Orloff.

I am still only a couple of chapters in, but every page I turn I have an "aha" moment. I wish I had stumbled over this book decades ago... whilst I pretty much knew what being an Empath means, it is so liberating to hear someone read out the story of my life ~ traits and behaviours which I thought were just me being odd, weak and a failure... and now understanding that this is part of my inherent nature. It finally allows me to give myself permission and the freedom to be OK with all of that and giving in to the needs of my soul <3 I now understand that I am a fully blown, super-sensitive emotional, physical and crystal Empath (and more) ~ and on top of that I am not only a transmitter ~ but a transmuter ~ ie. I transmute collective and personal negative energies through my body, which explains a lot of my physical aches and pains..

So, what is an Empath? The American Empath Association gives a pretty accurate description: "An Empath is someone who understands the mental or emotional states of others in a way that defies conventional science and psychology. Empaths have the ability to sense the feelings, thoughts, and energies of people, plants, animals, places, or objects. In addition to sensing, Empaths absorb the energy of those around them. Empaths often experience stress or illness if they are bombarded by too many negative emotions. Empaths can also use their abilities to help others by imagining themselves in someone else’s situation and connecting with them on a deep level..There are 17 types of Empaths recognized by the American Empath Association: For instance an Emotional Empath is someone who is known for sensing and feeling the emotions of others.""

I know that there are many of us, and many more new souls now enter this plane as Empaths because that is what is truly needed on this planet. We are a big part of this paradigm shift!

With all of this in mind I thought it would be helpful to write a blog about crystals that can help Empaths cope better with their amazing gift ~ which is an absolute superpower, but which can also become very draining when we are trying to function as normal humanoids.

Most Empaths are are aware of what and who they are, but they often find it difficult to manage their superpower and often end up drained, misunderstood, lonely or worse ~ ill. If you find crowds overwhelming, often end up drained when interacting with a lot or certain type of people, you feel physically ill when witnessing violence of any kind, be it on TV or in reality, prefer to travel alone, feel the (physical) pain of others, are very noise and smell sensitive and tend to really struggle when people enter into your personal space - your personal bubble - and HAVE to step away, chances are you are an Empath. If you are not sure whether you are, you may like to use this simple questionnaire by Judith Orloff https://drjudithorloff.com/quizzes/empath-self-assessment-test/ or this one via http://www.empathtest.com/

I have learnt to manage my empathy to some degree, and crystals are a big part of that. They help me with grounding, protection, calming, nurturing, defrazzling and universal connectedness ~ all things which are important strategies for any Empath. So here is my go to list
